I18NGallery, Background Images, Responsive Images

Quantock Landscapes by Benjamin Haughton 1865–1924

Just checking the I18N Gallery works properly. It does now.

Changing the Background Image

This page only, with the slug 'gallery' has been given a different background image. In the file main.css the background image is defined around line 3600 with #main > header {declarations}.Below that I have added #gallery #main > header {declarations} with all the urls changed for the alternative background image.

Responsive Images in the Page Content

A simple way to insert a responsive image through the back end editor is to use the css provided by the designer. It keeps the style nice and consistent.  First check what css classes the image needs with this css on the Elements page. We are going to use image fit. So insert the image with the image button then R-click for Image Properties, Advanced tab, write image fit in the classes box, and delete the style declarations that fix the image size.

People on Glastonbury TorIf you want you can write something like width: 50%; height: auto; in the Style box for an image scaled to always 50% of the available space:

Or like this, creating a thumbnail in the GS Files Tab  and adding the classes image left to float the image left.tower detail Vestibulum ultrices risus velit, sit amet blandit massa auctor sit amet.
